Sorry everyone

Dear me I have been a very bad blogger. OK lets start with Wednesday. I had my first weigh in on Wednesday and only lost 300g. really not impressed but also not too surprised. I'm still having a few problems with break old habits. The biggest one is alcohol, who knew I was consuming so many point with those drinks!! So It's time to turn the partying down a couple of notches. On the upside, I was at Dan Murphy's on Saturday night trying to pick a responsible and low point beverage and found a drink called Bundy Bare. Now I am a big fan of bundy and was trying to find something easy as the party was outside so mixing my own drinks would be problematic. So Bundy Bare was the answer. They have created bundy with diet cola!!! It's great so all I have to count is the nip of rum!! i think it worked out to be 1 point per drink so all in all it was alot less points spent and still a good night. :o)

I'm still having a few problems with getting to the exercise part. on Saturday my boyfriend and I walked about 3.5km's in total which was nice, and didn't really feel like exercise either. I also told him last night that I need him to push me to do my 20 mins of Zumba in the morning. He really tried this morning but i justified it by saying we had Pilate's on tonight so I'll still be doing exercise today. Turns out our Pilate's class was cancelled so I will have to do some zumba when i get home.

I have also fallen into a bit of a trap that i want to check on how I'm going fairly regularly, again my B/F thinks this is a bad idea because weigh fluctuates but lately it's just been going up and not down at all. I'm starting to get really frustrated with it because I've been really good this week and stuck to my points and would really like to show up to my WI on Wednesday and have more than a 300g loss. My B/F said that because I'm doing more exercise than I use to do that it's going to take a bit for the weight to fall off because my body is working some of the fat into muscle. Did anyone else have this much trouble to start with??? I really thought the first couple of weeks were big weight losses because you make such a big change in your diet. I was also thinking that maybe measuring once a month will help. What's your best way of tracking your progress if the scales aren't nice to you???

Help!!!

Ok I have been looking at so many fabulous blogs and everyone seems to have their ticker factory weight loss tracker on their blog. I've designed one but can't seem to add it to my blog as a gadget. the closest i got was getting it onto my igoogle page. Any anyone who has one tell me how they did it. I feel so silly right now.

May need to fix my weekend habits

Oh dear, I can't believe how bad I was this weekend. Who knew that liquor had soo many points. I had a lovely night with some friends on Friday but turns out I should of checked the points value before consuming alot of butterscotch Schnapps. :o( I ended up consuming double my allocated points on Friday. :o( The biggest problem is that I just didn't have the energy to burn it off with exercise points on Saturday.

I spent all day Sunday cleaning house so that burnt off some of the excess point but I still have a bit to go. I guess we all just have to learn from the mistakes we make.

i have pilates tonight which will help burn away some of that schnapps. Might try and get some Zumba in after that and then I should be back on track. I'm keeping a close eye on my pedometer and I seem to be doing the healthy amount of steps but I think I might go for 6,000 steps a day. It's going to be hard because my job involves being glued to my computer. But my boyfriend suggested today that maybe I should go for a quick walk during my lunch break. Might see if I can get inspired enough to go out in that cold Canberra air and walk for 20mins.

I also unfortunately lost my grandmother on Friday but have done well to avoid emotional eating which is a big achievement for me. Now all I need to do is kerb the emotional drinking and I'll be fine.

So obviously my biggest downfall is that I'm not super keen on exercise. Do any of you have tips or tricks to get you inspired to go for a walk or do that bit of exercise you really don't feel like doing?

Zumba is the greatest

Ok so after having the Zumba dvd's I finally put the instructional dvd on last night and had soo much fun. I'm happy I'm doing it at home because I look so uncoordinated but it was a blast and I was sweating up a storm in no time. I burn't 7 points in an hour session and there was a couple of breaks in there too. Can't wait to give the actual session a try tonight.

i've also decided o my 5% goal reward. I'm going to buy myself a pair of rollerskates. I use to love skating as a kid and now it's back in fashion it will be easy to buy a pair. I think it will be great for trimming down my hips, butt and thighs which, lets face it, needs the most work. So I did a bit of online browsing and picked out these ones

Aren't they awesome!!!!!!!!

So they are on my amazon wishlist and ready to be paid. All I have to do now is lose 6kg. It's given me alot more motivation to shift the weight. Especially because I have recently bought my niece a pair of roller skates and the other niece a scooter. So it will be great to go out with them and I'm sure they'll appreciated it too.

Hope your all having a great day. :o)

One step at a time

So I've decided to do an open blog with the opinion that it will keep me accountable to alot more people and my family and friends can check it and make sure I'm not saying horrible things about them. :o)

I felt really inspired after reading jessisfound she's just doing an amazing job and is a real inspiration to young people with a big weight to shift. i have 55kg to lose so there's a fair bit to shift.

I'm having great fun with my new pedometer today. I keep checking it and thinking it's just not high enough so go for a bit of a walk around the office to add more steps. Who would of thought that was going to work. I also bought Zumba last week but still haven't had a chance to do it. I think it's defiantly on my list of things to do for tonight.

I'm still working out this blog spot so bare with me. I'm trying to put a weight loss tracker on my page but can't quite figure it out. i just keep getting told that the URL is invalid. humph. oh well I'll get there.

Anyway should probably get some more work done.

D-Day

Ok so I was officially weighed in today and it was what I was expecting so at least I didn't get an initial shock. The amazing thing was that 6 other people joined in my meeting today. I couldn't believe it. It must be the time that everyone is thinking about their weight.

My leader is wonderful and is actually still on her journey so is incredibly realistic and open with us which i think was really helpful. I believe I'm all armed and ready to go. Bought some snaks and the awesome pedometer to track the points I burn.

I'm feeling so lucky to have an incredible boyfriend who is be super supportive and is actually showing interest in everything i'm doing which I'm finding really helpful. I'm doing well with tracking today but was desperatley hungry at 3:30 so had another WW muffin but I'm still inside my points allocation so that awesome.

Now it's time to read all the booklets and do some goal setting. until tomorrow, stay safe and eat well. :o)

Day one

Well it's time to get back into it all and I'm so happy to see how much extra help and support there is online. It's just fantastic to have an online tracker and calculator. WW really knows how to do it right. :o) I haven't actually gone to my first weigh in but very certain I won't be happy with the scales. I'm going to my first meeting tomorrow night and doing it solo for the first time but having my mum join me next week. I'm so excited to get to know everyone and find out everyones little weight loss secrets and share any I come across along the way.
